Anybody else sleep like a motherfucker?

    When I started training hard and eating right, I changed my sleep schedule but not the amount of sleep I got. M-F about 5-6 hours a night, then on weekends I'd get about 10.

    Lately, coming up on cut diet week 8 on Sat, I've been falling asleep in the middle of the day after I get home, and that's after sleeping for like 11 hours the night before. This shit's ridiculous, and it's killing my sleep schedule. But man do I feel good when I wake up :naughty:

    Just wondering if this is a common symptom due to constantly recovering muscles or something.

    I've been sleeping harder now. Not actually sleeping better, I think, because I'm not dreaming...if that's an indicator on sleep quality.

    same here.

    I've added Melatonin for the occasional night when i'm feeling restless, but that shit knocks you out for a solid 8 hours, so don't take it if you're gonna get less than that. When I did that, I felt groggy as shit for a few hours after I woke up.

    I've found that eating right and working my body to exhaustion are still the best ways to get a solid nights sleep though.

    Leg and chest days are consistantly the nights where I get the best rest...

    I eat like 6 cups of steamed veggies a day on the cut diet.

    Well, you might sleep during a long time because the quality of your sleep is bad. Maybe it could help boost sleep quality and shorten your sleep time. If I sleep in a room where someone snores, I can sleep during 10-12 hours and still not feel rested. If you take any stimulant (coffee, tea, caffeine, ephedrine, etc) you can try to stop it for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.
