any1 know how to test a amp?

    its a kenwood kac 629s (like that matters)
    i hook it up and it doesnt turn on
    fuse is fine, what CAPS, should i check?

    check the ground, that's the most common problem people have is that there amp is not properly grounded.

    yea, its a good ground, all my other amps work

    throw ti away i ahd one blew 12 caps and 7 transistors and it cos a ton cause y0ou ahve to order ehm form kenwood not to mention you have to do board level soldring to put them in

    Dont go opening up your amp. itll void your warranty if you have still have one. Do you have the turn-on wire connected properly. If you dont it wont turn on. Even if the fuse looks ok, it can still be blown, so change the fuse. Make sure you have a good ground, and make sure you sanded off the paint around the connection.
