Can someone suggest a Word Flasher software?
It's like a small textbox appearing in one of the corners of the screen , which takes some words randomly from a dictionary (this qould be customizable, say, If I want only GRE type words, I can choose that source) and shows for some 5 seconds (again, customizable).

This is to build up my vocabulary...
This'd be very helpful in preparing for GRE.

And I'd like to have freeware! [IMG]

    Nope...
It takes words from, say, a dictionary [a repository of some kind]
and displays words [from the dictionary source or a few selected 1000 words] randomly, with each word remaining for 5 seconds on that small box..

What good will seeing the words do if there's no definition or anything that you have to do to show you know what the word means?

    Ah. That helps.

You could probably write a program to do this fairly easily, provided you could get a dictionary in a .TXT file, or maybe an Access Database file.

I'll be needing something like this...
    http://grewordlist.groupfetch.com/gre21b.zip <----- Freeware
Only, the words + meaning -> come in a small rectangular box at the top right corner of the screen ...
So that you can see the words whilst doing your work on the PC ...

NOT helpful at all. If you're paying attention to the words, you might as well read the list. If you're not paying attention, it's worthless.
