well my gf really wants to try out a dance pole and get good so she can dance for me. the thing is id really like to be able to take it down when friends/family comes over. ive seen a few kits on ebay with a extendable pole with base plates but my worry is when she gets wild on it that it can go right through the drywall roof. anyone have any solution or advice?

easiest would be with a bracket on the roof/floor and a pin bolt like they use to hold trailer hitches on. But then you'd still have the bracket to hide or explain away.

My suggestion would be to use a blank ceiling plate to cover the ceiling mount and then for the floor you can either put it in an area where you can put a coffee table above it or recess it into the floor put a plate over the floor hole and then cover it with a rug.

Good luck hope you get something that works.
