any way to disassemble dell ac adapter?

    I buggered up the cord, have to jiggle it to get my laptop to charge. Any ideas? It doesent seem to have any screws in it, is it possible to take it apart at all?

    FYI, You can usually get a new one on Ebay for about $30.

    in all my years, I've never heard such things! This internet thing must be some sort of magic! I can actually get stuff from the store, without leaving this couch!? No WAi!

    dammit, i know this, i need to fix it NOW before my laptop runs out of battery!!1

    Geez... no need for the sarcasm...

    If it's messed up anyway, get a screwdriver and try to pry it open.. If not I guess you're SOL.

    mine did that too. I took a screwdriver and hammered it into the side of the adapter, cracking it open. Messed with it awhile and gave up when I couldn't fix it. Still works as long as its in the exact right position and nobody touches it

    sounds stupid but remember, unplug it before you start jamming screw drivers into it.

    btw, it's probably going to be much easier to buy one, you said it stilll charges as long as it's in the right position. keep it in the right position for a few days while the new one arrives.
