So I woke up to see this News post linked on Fark.com and I had to stop and wonder if this isn't corporate propoganda to stir up business. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if there was truth in the story I just hope/wish it wasn't true and was wondering if anyone has been affected by such policies?

Although I would expect the Army to enforce guidelines on what armor soldiers can/can't wear, these guys usually carry any weapons and gear they want, as far as I know.

Its not funny. They use what they feel will best help get the job done. And yes they are certainly going to have more latitude then most conventional units.
