I ran across a few articles (one online, one in a fitness magazine) regarding workout out at night vs. in the morning. Both stated that if you want to gain mass, you should workout in the morning and if you want to gain strength, you should workout at night. Apparently this is true for most people, but not all.

I thought about it and it makes sense...at least for me. I work out mostly at night (6-8pm) and my strength has increased tremendously, but I'm still the same size (granted, I've lost a good amount of body fat, but my muscles aren't much bigger).

What do you guys think? What is your own personal experience?

I like the morning cause it's less packed. Plus it sets the tone for my day.

I can't do a single fucking thing physically before 2-3 pm. Guaranteed 1/10th my normal strength and coordination.

I think I had more energy this morning at 6:30am (after going to bed at 1am) than I do most nights. I'd go in the mornings more, but it doesn't fit in my schedule that well...I'd have to wake up at 5am in order to make it to my first class on time and I must say, I am not a morning person at all.

My gym is 24-hours so I find myself usually working out at night. It is INSANELY packed between the times of 5pm-9pm so I have to go around 9 or 10 if I want to get anything done in a reasonable amount of time. The problem is that I am there until like 1am and sometimes later so I am so tired by the end of the day I think that might be hurting my workouts.

I only have class Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning/afternoon, so on mon/wed/fri I should start going in the morning and see if it benefits my workouts but I have trouble getting my lazy ass up before noon on those days because the nights before I am out until 4am

I really need to get on a fucking schedule.

Thats apparently true. You are most rested, most determined in the morning. Thers a whole section on it in The Bible... Arnolds that is.
