I'm only 24 and the hair line is receding. Does anything actually work to help me keep it? This shit fucking sucks, so much for ever getting sex again.

I started shaving my head about 3-4 years ago. I was in a relationship at the time. However, I am now single and loving it and having more success than ever with the wimmenz. For the record, I'm 30. However, I will add that I have a well shaped melon. Some people just cannot pull the look off.

I heard some have suggested saw palmetto because of its interference with DHT. But no study to support it saves your hair.

Get propecia and the prescription Rogaine and use it twice a day. It works in stopping more hair from falling out.

rogaine only works for male pattern baldness, not on the hairline

My hair stylist uses it on his hair and swears by it, but I didn't realize it only worked for that. He had hair surgery so in order to keep his hair that hasn't already fallen out he uses the propecia and Rogaine and swears by it. :dunno:

its possible that if they moved hair from his crown to his hairline, the moved folicles are still sensitive to rogaine no matter where they are on teh scalp. hair surgery complicates the situation.

but yeah, rogaine = male pattern (crown of head)
propecia = male pattern and receding hairlines

interestingly enough, propecia is simply a really expensive version of the generic drug Proscar, which is used to treat prostate enlargement. you can get a prescription for Proscar and just break the tablets in half to get roughly the Propecia dose of the drug. It costs about 10x less, and should be covered by insurance (as propecia is not).

however, with both propecia and proscar, the risk of gyno is somewhat high.

Start taking finasteride ED your hair will stop falling out. Takes 3-6 months to start seeing results though. Oh and quit being a pussy about your hair. If you think a girl dates you for your hair you have no clue. A girl dates you for how you make them feel

also, there is a new drug called dutasteride also known as avodart, and it has proven to block dht 100% in a 2mg dose, but good luck ever getting a hard-on.
