Tired of carrying my XD9, what does the WMD think about CW9?
Think HossB7 has one.
J-frame. It took me a few times to learn the pocket auto lesson but I finally did.
I intend to carry CW9 in a holster, strong side.
i have carried both and i prefer my xd9 sc
I love mine.
Kahrs are still my favorite small guns.
holy shit, i just bought a cw9 today
have one and love it. put about ~300 rounds downrange with zero issues.
Is $439 a good price?
Looking for something smaller than my Steyr M9-A1.
Also thought about this Ruger LCP
If that's really the price, it's a pretty damn good deal for CA.
Easy to find used, and then you don't stress out when the gun FTF a couple times during break-in (Kahrs like to be worked in for a couple hundred rounds).
I paid $325 for mine with two mags. Check the EE, and the auction sites. There were some good deals on Kahrs a while ago.
Unfortunately, my local FFLs charge A LOT for transfer fees. I could almost buy a new gun for the price I'd pay for a transferred, used gun.
You might want to check your links.
Damn it. I am not good at internet.
mine was $375
New or used? And where?
new in box
mary's pistols - tacoma, wa
I got to put a couple mags or so thru Hoss's a while back.
Personally, I didn't like it. A trigger pull so long and spongy in the take-up that only a heavy-pull DA revolver can match it, lots and lots of flipping tendency, frame a little too narrow for me to get a decent grip....
I'm sure it'd make an ok backup gun, but I'd want a better trigger on it no matter what.
i feel like my taurus millennium has the tendency to flip up during recoil a lot too
i've gotten used to shooting it, hope this one isn't as bad though.
the trigger pull is long, but doesn't feel spongy to me
i love the narrow grip, it's great for iwb concealing.
plus i have small hands and get a great grip on it.
I like my kahr a lot, but I don't like the low round count. Only time I carry the kahr is in a belly band at the gym or when running
250 rounds to break in with FTFs almost every 2-3rnds
It shot only 1 mag without FTFs and light strikes like crazy
fuck that gun
Get a Kel-Tec if you want a small gun
sounds like you got a bad one, thought about sending it back to kahr ?
i rented one once and it shot great, no misfires or jams
Oh, don't get me wrong, narrow is great for concealing. I just find narrow AND square to be somewhat more difficult to control than, say, larger and oblong (1911, BHP, etc) or larger and square (Glock).
And something kept whacking my middle finger of my shooting hand on recoil.
Dunno, just something about it didn't work for me. Hoss seems to like it though.
That's what I am worried about the most.
Just curious why people tend to go with the CW9 over the PM9. I'd like to pick up a PM9 someday for potential pocket carry. Seems much smaller and only holds 1rd. less than the CW.
there is a lot of slack you have to take up on the trigger, but it has a clean break, FWIW
