I feel like I've hit a brick wall with my delt workout and I am seriously thinking of "cheating" this summer... I do NOT want to do this but I don't know what else to do. :hs:

I'm only putting up 135lb Smith Machine presses, 50 - 60 lb overhead DB presses, but my lateral raises are like fucking STUCK at 30 lbs, MAYBE 35 lbs on an "excellent" day

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/seth10.htm

should I try shorter rest periods / less weight? Do more Arnold or W Presses??? I'm willing to try almost anything

    help?? :hsd:

  3. Your numbers aren't terrible. Instead of cheating with drugs, cheat by putting your back into it. :)

    whats your weight/height?

those are the kind of numbers i push on my delt workouts but seated on the smith/db presses. i could care less about weight, i concentrate on strict form.
i notice progress and im happy with my results.

Who gives a shit how much you lateral raise? I use the 30-40's and they still kick my ass.

I also DB press the 100's.

plenty of beasts dont go higher than 10-15 lbs..

just use what feels comfortable and taxes you on the third/fourth set

    A. Barbell shoulder press
    4 x 4-6 reps*
    * Last set includes 2 negative reps

    B. Reverse grip barbell shoulder press (standing)
    3 x 8-10 reps

    C. Dumbbell seated press
    3 x 10-12 reps*
    * Last set includes an isometric hold on the last rep. The hold is performed for max time, with the elbows at 90 degrees.

    D. Leaning away side laterals
    3 x 15-20*
    * Last set is a triple drop set

There was a shoulder super set routine that ceaze or cave or pur posted a bit back (10/10/10 front/side/rear for 4 sets?) that really raped my shoulders and set a bit of a base for me.

If you are cutting, it is going to be tough to gain much strength if your deficit is too low.

But seriously, instead of eating more, juice is the way to go

yeah the only way i can do it is if i stand up, and use a swing/momentum to get them up, then sit down all in one swift motion :o

or, just use barbell and sit in the cage

If you cant control the weight then you're not ready for it yet.

If I use anything higher than the 80's I have to get someone to help me get the weights up to shoulder level, it has nothing to do with being ready for the weight or being able to control it.

try curling with body movement to get the dbs on your shoulders.
if not that, i guess your stuck with asking someone for a quick spot
