Depends, sometimes I use a 10/22, but I like using my Marlin .22WMR as well. I've used my Remy 700 .30-06 before too :hsughno:

Damn I wish there were better places around here to hunt, even small game. I use to drive 4hrs to a hunting sport with ground squirrels and use my 10/22 with a scope, some times my 20GA

I used a 20 gauge all last season. I think i may mix in some .22 or .17 action this year though.

The size of the squirrels down here in FL barely warrant a .22, let alone a 12ga...

Yeah... I'm having trouble figuring out why one would use a 12 ga to hunt a little rodent that can't fly (except for flying squirrels :hsughno:).

Once a fox squirrel sees you you'd think they could fly, as fast as they can get out of range. That's when a 12ga comes in handy. 2 3/4" #4
