I used to follow the book religiously...until I got out of collecting for awhile. I've been uploading some of this series to Warskrull...and I've got a lot more that I could send up (up to like issue #119). But I'm curious if anyone's even downloading them (or interested in downloading them in the future). I don't want to waste space on the server with stuff that no one's going to read. :o

It's a good series...maybe not everyone's cup of tea. I know some people don't care for Erik Larsen's drawing style (personally I think it's great for the type of books he does)...but you've got to respect the guy's work ethic. Of the original 7 Image founders (Larsen, Lee, Silvestri, Liefeld, McFarlane, Valentino, & Portacio), he's the only one who's still drawing the same title he started Image with. In fact, along with Spawn, The Savage Dragon is one of only two of the original Image titles still running (in a regular monthly format, that is). And Larsen has basically written and drawn the entire series right from issue #1.

TSD is great. I prefered it before Larsen explained Dragon's origin, that sort of took a lot of the mystique out of the comics. Otherwise I always grab a copy of it at my LCBS

I haven't actually gotten that far yet. I stopped buying the book back around issue #80 (had pretty much the entire run up to that point), shortly after the first time he re-invented the Dragon's universe. I don't remember exactly why I stopped...I think the LCBS I was going to at the time went out of business or something, and at the time I was sort of losing interest in comics anyway so I never bothered finding another one to go to.

Now that I'm getting into it again, I've got a whole lot of back issues to track down. :o

But, I was lucky enough to find a torrent with scans of the entire series up to issue #119, so I can at least get caught up storywise to the new issues. But I still want to try and actually buy as many of the issues that I missed as I can...

You'll have to be more specific...weird story lines were pretty much par for the course with TSD. :o

    It was different.

I also like how Dragon has basically become shoulders, arms, and a fin as the years went on. His lower body is practically nonexistent.
