I had a set of cdt Es 62i's running with a MTX 3802 amp. Well my tweets finally gave out and i bought the DRT-25's to replace them thinking it would even be an improvement but they sounded like crap. Im not sure if its the tweeters, the amp, or the crossovers but i know its time for a new amp anyway.

I'm lookin to spend about 300$ on a new good component set. I know i can get a replacement MTX 3802 for about 60$ but i'll probably step that up as well so im lookin to spend 100-150 on a new amp as well (im sure i can get a decent 120ish x 2 for that price.

please, can you give me any recommendations?

I do like my infinity's, but I still feel that they are lacking in midbass.

I didn't find that. I did find that I need to tune down the highs - as they can overtake everything else. It's also important to note that their in a VW Golf IV - and the tweeters are pointed right at your head.

I also have 2 12" Kicker Comp VR subs with 333 Watts RMS in the hatch. It seems pretty balanced to me.
