Getting ready to go out for the military and have been trying to get into running shape. Started off with alternating sprints and jogging. And if it ain't one goddamn thing it's another. First it was my groin and my shins, now my ankles and knee hurt like a bitch. So now I've moved to the elliptical instead. Any easier way to get into it? am i too sensitive?

When I first started to do hill climbs I would get the dreaded ass locks. Started to do more walking lunges on leg day and it fixed all of that.

How tall are you and how heavy? Out of shape? Of course its going to hurt. Man up and take it slow.. Ease in to it... You'll be fine after a while. How soon do you leave?

I'm 5' 11'' 200 lbs. Sorry if my wording was confusing, but I'm going to try to enter military ocs, nothing is final yet. and I guess I'll just take it slower.

Take it slow. You can't just start running one day and assume you'll be fine. Go hiking at first or something then do some walking/jogigng. Then jogging, then jogging with short sprints, then just keep on working faster/further.
