A&P any of you "pros" shoot panoramic photos with a telephoto lens?

    was reading some blog somewhere and that's what that guy did. said it brought a whole new perspective to his panoramic shots.

    can't wait to get back out on the golf course

    i did a 370* shot of tokyo with a 18-70 but did it at 18mm for all of the pics.

    I use a 50 on a 1.6 crop :dunno:

    I've heard that you shouldn't shoot them too wide because of distortion but I don't see why you can't use a telephoto lens. You'll probably just have to shoot a few more pics than normal.

    I did with a 35 f/2. I also did one of the mountain view outside the house last week. It was a 180 degree view shot with a 70-200 @ 70mm. Had to shoot at every 5 degree turn as measured on the head.

    One I did last year. This is about 1/3 of the original. Was about 30 portrait shots with a 70-200 2.8 L IS

    What do you use to stitch those back together? something like Photostitch, or do you have something a bit more powerful?

    I've used my 18-200 VR many times. Just keep the same focal length and aperture. Stitch with PTGui.

    I did one time on film, printed it out on 4x6's and it was 8' long :o

    you need the same focus, exposure and wb, not just aperture
