The pic really doesn't do it justice, but these things hurt like a bitch, the scabs are kind of cracked and stuff, it's been doing this for a while after squat day. I keep my grip and elbows tight, use chalk etc., I don't know why it keeps happening.

I've gotten that on occasion. Normally just red marks but occasionally small abrasions.

Just once a week, I'll usually do 3 warm up sets, then stick at 315 for 2-3 sets, then the past couple weeks I've been hitting 365 for my last set. I think the bar is slowly sliding on my last set and causing the skin to tear, I have a long torso so I have to keep the bar pretty low already, I guess I can try wearing 2 shirts or something :dunno:

    :naughty:

Its because of your lower bar placement, I had the same issue until started resting the bar higher up on my traps. Its because part of the bar is resting on your shoulder blades (the part where there is not much muscle because of basic human anatomy). I could be wrong though, that was the case with me however.

x2, use to have the same issues in high school anytime i'd get over 300lbs. either rest the bar higher or get a neoprene bar pad.

wow, thats gross. I get some scratches and a minor bruising, but not wounds like that. You should see a doctor or something.
