    why? gas prices, convenience, etc?
if so how long is it?
do you consider this as your cardio? if do you still do cardio at the gym?
do you take the shortest route there or purposely modify your route?
    type of bike?

i haven't been to the gym since i moved to boston almost 4 weeks ago.
i'll be starting back up some time late sept/oct.
the gym i want to go to is about 5+ miles away so i figured it would be some good cardio in ~ out plus gas around here is like $3.30 a gal.

Sounds like a good idea, gas prices SUCK HUGE DONKEY BALLS!!!! If I were closer to my gym I would consider riding a bike also.

Gas is only 2.90 here but if it gets too high I will be biking it...

I only live about 3 miles away so it wouldn't bee too bad, with my luck I'd probably get hit by a car...

i go to the gym during lunchtime and i walk (it's about half a mile... short walk, plus it gets me outside)

i bike to/from work semi-regularly (up to 3 days/week) and that's 8 miles each way. I've done it on a mountain bike before, but recently decided to take up road cycling (as cardio... i can't stand running long distances, it gets too boring), so i got a new bike...

that's 49 mph on the speedo if you can't read it... not from a commute, but one of my after-work rides

I used to... gym was like 3-4 miles from my house. Got a job though where the gym is literally on the way home, so now I just stop by one the way home.

I've ridden my motorcycle a few times, but I'm usually pretty beat after lifting, so I try not to.

i did for a few months back in the spring/early summer. it was about 3 miles each way and i had a nice mountain bike. Bad thing was i was somewhat tired before i started actually lifting, and it was always dark on the ride home which = dangerous when u live in nj and every driver is insane

my gym is about 3 miles from home, I'd bike it easily but I go too late and the roads have NO street lights on them so I'd prob end up roadkill if I biked it :hs:
