Ya I have 2 of them, one is about the same size as yours but its air powered. fill the tank with air, it has a pressure gauge on it, fill to about 90 psi and open a turn valve, we dented a steel barrel with it once, the other is about the same size but it uses hair spray and a grill igniter to light it.

Hows the propane working for ya? I don't know if I would be comfortable using propane.

I've got one. Close to the same size, shorter barrel. I've got a BBQ ignighter mounted in a screw-on tailcap with a paper clip for an "ignition advancer". The thing rocks and can give me about 275-300 yards. Hell, it was my high school trig project back in '95. Think about taking one of those to school now... Yeah, right!

propane works good, tough to get the exact right amount but when you do it hits hard

i usually use limes since i get more per bad and they are cheaper. but if i really wanna fuck something up i use a D battery wrapped in duct tape. kicks about as hard as a shotgun and will go right through about 3 sheets of plywood

End of the year at the fraternity we had a 300 yard water balloon launcher, half the time they would blow up on launch.

The farthest we could shoot was probably 100 yards; we quit after we broke the window out of an apartment :hsugh:

I built one with pvc pipe its about 2.5" diameter and 3-4 feet long. We used a pezio electric ignitor from a grill (available at any hardware store) to set off the charge. We found out that carberator cleaner works the best as fuel. It burns exceptionally well and doesn't leave a residue like hairspray and other things. Just don't use too much or it won't ignite due to lack of oxygen. We can easily get 100+yards on a standard spud. We never have officially measured it though. You can also use the pressurized butane refils for lighters, just take an old spraypain cap and put it on the butane bottle and viola!
