Salt Lake City has an amazing night life, but not enough good photogs to really capture the scene here. There are a few, but not enough varying styles of picture-taking. I'm currently shooting film and LOVE the way my pictures turn out. Anyone else here into shooting the club, dance, party scene? Please share pics!

To me it would just seem like too big of a hassle to shot in a night club. But I guess if you're good enough its worth the pay off. Judging by turbodudes photos lol.

That and I just dont like the club scene. :dunno:

I dont like the club scene either but if you know what you're doing and you like to enjoy music and a drink it comes as easy as pie. people see a DSLR with a flash modifier and a bracket they swarm to you and ask you to take a picture. You snap away, show them, they'll likely approve (more approvals with more liquor lol) and you get paid. It's also alot easier to manuever inbetween the crowds with a camera because people are a bit more corteous to you if youre there with a camera.

I was in a nightclub a couple of weekends ago. They had three photogs walking around, it was kind of annoying, I got my picture taken at least 4 or 5 times and I'm not even the model looking greased up club go-er. Can't imagine how many times the clubheads got their pics taken. Anyway I check the clubs website to find that they haven't added a picture since 2007.

I just started doing this for a friends website. No pay right now but I am meeting a ton of people. Like was said before, everyone sees and slr and wants to have there picture taken. I have only had a few people get pissed. Friday night on an invite from the venue a rappers body guard got in my face for takeing a pic of his boy. A chick at the same venue also had a fit when I took her pic and told me she did not want to be on another website. A tad later she asked for her pic taken with a bunny that was walking around. I took about 10 pics then. Most people will pose everytime you walk by.

Since I am new to this type of shooting what are you doing for a flash? Also what kind of iso do you shoot at?
