Anyone have a suggestion for a more recent RPG? I'm looking for something with deep character progression and an entertaining story. Would like something to break me out of the MMO trap and have some good old fashion dungeon crawling, to give me a break in between the grind.

    Let me know.:x:

Have it and love it, but I think I'm up for something a little less exploratory (although that's a plus) and more old school story / level design... like an updated diablo / titan quest. Even something like Sacred 2 but not :greddy: (at least it looks like it is).

    .

    I loved this game.

There's also Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.

I've played all of the suggestions so far : / maybe there just hasn't been anything else.

The Witcher was good but it felt a little to confining for some reason class wise.

Fallout 3 / Oblivion were great, but I'm thinking something like Dungeon Siege... maybe my real issue is liking the way the games were from that time period more.

and is Sacred 2 as easy as it looks? I saw a review video of it in another thread and the dude was walking around 1 shotting everything he came across. Looked pretty boring.

    Fallout 3
Mother 3 (I count this as being within the last year since it wasn't in English 'till then)

Sacred 2 takes a little getting used to with the skills, but yeah it's easy. Easier than Diablo II.

The guy one-shotting everything could have been max level or killing off mobs lower than him. You do have to co-ordinate your skills a bit, again like Diablo II

Have you played Dungeon Siege II?

I actually haven't, how did it hold up to the original?

EDIT: downloading the demo right now.
