Any known problems with 2000 Honda Accord Coupe 4 Cyl Auto

    Looking at one for 5900 asking price with 120,000 miles on it. Timing belt was changed at 95000. Thanks

    maybe hes looking for a reliable fucking car that isn't going to give him problems for the next 100k miles, and not some faggot ass bandwagon car he can street race :greddy:

    I think those yr's had a problem with the auto tranny. Might want to double check if it has been replaced or shifting crappy. I know my mom's 00 Accord SE had the tranny replaced under warranty...

    Powertrain control module update (only on Cali cars)

    Safety recalls;

    Recall 05V025000: Ignition/A/T Shift Interlock Defect
    Recall 04V256000: Instrument Lamp Dimmer Defect
    Recall - Passenger Air Bag Replacement
    Recall 02V080000: Passenger Side Air Bag Inflator Defect
    - Rear Seat Belt Buckle Non-Compliance
    Recall 01V380000: Rear Seat Belt Buckle Defect
    - Rear Suspension Control Arm Breakage
    Recall 00V184000: Rear Suspension Lower Control Arms

    That's for the EX and LX models.

    It ended up being a v6 and we passed on it, found an 05 corolla with 25000 miles on it for 8000. Thanks for the help guys.

    Ah, well glad you found a car you liked. I drove an 04 Corolla from Dallas to South Padre Island and thought it was a great commuter. It was a base model but we didn't have any constraints with size or comfort, and it got great gas mileage doing the entire drive straight through there and back. I was a mad man driving through the night! :big grin:
