Theres a Comanche pickup down the street from me for sale... 4x4, manual trans, probably the inline 6 cylinder engine. I think it'd be a neat little beater to run around town in, maybe save a little gas. Thing is, it's got almost 187k miles on it, and some body rot, mostly around the rear wheel wells. Being unibody, I was thinking the rot could weaken the structure... am I offbase? It's got a 6' plow, asking price of $1500. Worth the investment? Any advice?

kelly blue book puts a 1992 commanche eliminator 4x4 at $800-1,200
edmunds TMV puts a 1992 commanche eliminator 4x4 at $400-1,000

then you have to subtract for the rusted-out body.

I loved Comanches when they were new. Especially the Eliminator 4.0 manual.

Cool truck. Not with the body rot, unless you are ready to work on it some to get it back in good condition.

What do you want to use it for primarily?

i doubt its worth 1500 unless it has had some major work done to it in the last 2500 miles

cool little trucks but rusted out and used as a plow truck would not be worth $1500
