I was looking at the career choices for military Officers in the Navy, I saw intelligence and realized Its the only one Im mildly interested in that actually has good chances of advancing and being mildly interesting for me. I was just wondering whether anyone here was an intelligence officer and if it was what they thought it would be.

By the way im 17 and currently applying for the NROTC scholarship to go to college at University of Florida so I have a while before I have to make a choice on this but im so indecisive even about a major in college.

Id ask around, but I dont think the chances of getting intelligence out of ROTC are very high. You'd probably get stuck somewhere else.

I dont mean for college but rather for actually joining the military AFTER I get my college degree.

Going to apply as an Int Officer in the CF. :x:

Supposedly they only take prior combat arms and really smart folk, hopefully I'll have a chance. Looks like a shitload more fun than the Infantry.

Field is fun for the first years. But doing gate duty and 36+ hour patrols in the sandbox isn't for me. :dunno: Mad props to everyone who does it though, but after having been 031 for a few years, I learned it's not for me.

I have no idea about whats going on in this thread, I guess i dont know enough about how rotc and the armed forces work as far as what you can do after you get out of the ROTC program or if you choose in college or whats going on.
