I haven't stepped up to HD yet but Directv's added content has made it tougher for me to stay on the sidelines for much longer.
That said, I have to find a tv that will fit into an armoire (repurposing it is not an option at this point). The height is not a probelm but the width is ~38.5".
There are two "thin bezel" tv's out now that have my interest and would appreciate any input regarding the specs or, better yet, from someone who has seen them in person.
As I mentioned, I have Directv and plan on adding a PS3.
I do plan on seeing whatever tv I purchase in person before buying, but would value the input of someone more schooled on this subject.
Feel free to mention any others that should be on my list (or should wait for).

Have you thought about a Panny plasma or a Pioneer plasma?

I am open to the best and biggest tv that would fit in my 38.5" wide space.
Do you know of any that would work? I haven't seen any.
I need to also be concerned with sunlight durring the day as well.

well since you have problem with sunlight then most plasmas won't work.
Some of the newer plasmas have the anti-glare on them.
