So, here I am minding my buisness and my computer decides to shut itself down (Windows 2K3 server).

I get this little pop-up about NT/Administrator (RPC??) shutting me down.

Does anyone know what the hell this is? Any way to fix it?

Start > control panel > Administrative tools > Services

Look for "Remote Proceedure call" or RPC, something like that.

Anywhos right click on it and go to "properties" change it to "automatic" and then hit start > ok

    that should fix that problem.

There are more than one RPC options, but I think I have it figured out. Any idea what may have caused this?

Yeah, I just got it again. A friend of mine also has it. Is it a bug with Server 2003 or are you using a different OS?

To abort the shutdown though (Just say your in the middle of something), go to "run" and type "shutdown -a" without the quotes of course.
