I recently got my flash drive stolen on campus, and lost some critical data. Is there a program that can automatically backup my flash drive when I plug it into my mac?
Or can I somehow configure automator to do this for me? No idea really how to use this tool so I dont understand how versatile it can be.
EDIT: i did get a new flash drive, i am looking for a way so that if i lose this one, I will still have recently updated data.

i don't think automator or applescript can be setup to do a backup after its plugged in but you can setup a script you double-click and it will copy contents of drive to an already specified location. i haven't ever done it but im sure it can do it.

if you have a .mac subscription, Backup is a decent app for such tasks :dunno:

You should be able to make an Automater flow that lets you right-click & copy to a certain location...
