For about 2 months after I got my cast off ( 5 month layoff from lifting ), my golf game was at a high point. Muscles weren't too tense or tight, a lot more loose due to, I'm guessing, the absence of lifting.

I'm on week 6 now of my routine and while I'm fitting my clothes again better, my golf swing has gone down the shitter due to the decrease in flexibility.

Any of you broly golfers have any good stretches that you guys do to get some of that swing flexibility back? The gap between my left arm and my chest at the top of my backswing is fucking HUGE. I can't get it any closer without it feeling extremely sore.

    Help a brotha out.

    In for this too.

Workouts kill my golf game. I play twice as good when I've been out of the gym for a couple weeks.

Living in Chicago though, golf season only lasts about 5 months so it's not a huge deal.

I played golf and workout... only problem I ever had was a sore chest

you don't really need to be flexible to play golf

gee i dont know yogi, the biggest reason golfers start to lose their edge as they age is flexibility imo. Flexibility is almost everything I think. As i drop weight and get in better shap my swing and game get better and better

that's why old people who can barely move can play golf?

i've seen many older people who are not flexible near scratch golfers

I've learned to adapt decent, but sometimes I over compensate and come over the top and pull the fuck out of a drive or two.

I think it's actually helped my game if anything :dunno:

Pick this up. It was written by a good friend and colleague of mine. It is not a book for people looking to get brolli but rather addressing what the actual weaknesses and limitations are in your body. Needless to say, this is the guy that VJ Sighn used to help him get to number 1. Shortly after their split, VJ went downhill pretty quickly.
