I just started MMA recently. For now it's with friends and other guys at the MMA gym, but i'm going to stay with it for a long time. So far i've just done some middle/high school wrestling, boxing, and all kinds of MMA at this new MMA gym her in Springfield. They set a lot of the guys up with fights, so it's pretty great.

Trying to find some good MMA grappling gloves to order right now...

I just started training about two months ago and I don't hold a separate rank in BJJ, it's part of the curriculum at my school.

I'm joining the Gracie academy to increase my BJJ knowledge faster (I have several years of standup experience) as well as get a real BJJ rank.

Pro definately none, amateur i wont risk cuz nearly every event i go to there are nasty injuries and no payouts...ive helped train some of our guys for fights and our school has a total of 3 losses (last time i checked) and dozens of wins...all amateur tho

been doing jits almost consistently for about 4 years (minus time for some nasty injuries like a torn ankle that took me 4.5 months to heal fully -kept wrestling through it heh)

was training out of eugene oregon (branch of megaton's school who is under Royler Gracie) but am now up in portland oregon and working to much to train more than once a week :wtc:

I see. I don't have a rank either since I train without the gi. I can hang with and tap some blue belts assuming neither of us are wearing a gi.

yeah at my school we train no-gi, although the head instructor is considering getting us gi's to train in too.

I still wanna join the gracie academy though, because there are a LOT of dudes to roll with there and a certified gracie black belt on premesis. I am still staying with my main school for the other stuff it offers (and our BJJ is pretty solid) but I want to get some extra mat time in during the day, which Phil offers.

I've got 1.5 months of BJJ :hs: I was doing it 2-3 times a week, but this past week I had to stop because of changed schedules and finals at school. I'd like to do some amatuer fighting one day.
