My company is looking to acquire another company, I think an IPhone App would be a great way to run the new company more efficiently. Rich can vouch for me if need be. Looking for some information, what's the process? Is it more of an IT job or does it require specific knowledge?

I really wanted to get into this when I got mine, but alas I don't own a mac.

I can answer your last question though, this would not be a job for IT. This would require a software engineer or two, depending on the scale of the project.

As far as the process, basically learn the API's for the platform, write the code, submit it to apple for approval. If the app is for private use only you may not have to submit it but you would have to figure out a way to get it on everyone's devices, preferably without making them all convert to development versions.
