New expansion comes out mid next month. I will probably pick it up.

I used to play when the game first came out, then I took a break for a year and came back. Then I took a break for another year and came back. Now I'm on a break again, planning on going back. I keep leaving because new games come out.

Decent game now it seems, worth giving a shot if you are doing nothing.

EQ is semi boring right now, I only log on to raid, so I gave Vanguard a shot and was disappointed, then I was in the middle of grabbing DDO when I noticed the EQ2 trial on the station launcher. It's massively improved from launch, and the community seems decent so far, the trial does suck as you can't do much but you get a feel for the game.

lots of stuff to do in the game. all types of quests (collection quests - find stuff in the wild, completes a random set, turn in for XP/, GREAT community..i havent found anything similar except perhaps Vanguard (fail game is FAIL).

very deep game, quality content, and tons of fun.

i just dont have time for the game :(

I will probably try this with at least a trial account just to fuck around on until SWTOR or Cataclysm gets closer to release.

Eq2 is significantly easier and infinitely more deep. I loved EQ1 and i've been loving eq2 for the past 3 weeks or so that i've been playing. Can be hard getting groups other then night time because everyone seems to be max level more or less.

Although soloing and questing is a viable option, so whatever.

They have bgs, but they pop pretty infrequently and only 1 of the 3 ever seems to get picked. however, you do get tokens for participating, and the items you can get with the tokens are pretty uber. Bgs are also only 30+

on the pvp server pvp is the shit, you get rewards, and its quest based pvp (kill this many of the opposing faction) you get items for the tokens you get for the quest. they are just as good if not better than raid armor.

all the pvp on that server is pretty much open world, and alot of people participate in it. www.eq2flames.com check the nagafen subforum, weekly people upload pvp videos.

the way pvp works in battlegrounds is different, but its still fun
