I have really got into them since seeing them open for Yes last summer. Great sound. Modern edge with a PROG sound.

i love their mix of progressive rock with metal. they opened the door for so many of the newer prog metal bands to have success.there just aren't many bands around that have that kind of talent in every member.

Yes, I'm a fan. i've been listening to them since the very beginning when their album 'When Dream and Day Unite' came out way back in 1989. I guess that's nearly 16 years that I've been listening to them.

If you like DT you should check out some of the side-bands of some of the members and ex-members of the band:
    Platypus
    Chroma Key
    OSI (Office of Strategic Influence)
    Altura
    The Jelly Jam
    Liquid Tension Experiment
    Planet X

those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head

lucky is hardly the word that guy can't sing. Jessie owns him...especially live he has the crowd sing half of the stuff cause he can't. he just doesn't have anywhere near the dynamics of the original.

DT can sing although it gets annoying to me after awhile of hearing that guy over and over... John lays down the shred.

KSE if you didn't see them in the original days than you can't comment.. Although the Album's show it as well vocally.

Petrucci's good. But not as good as Page, Gilmour, Syd, or even Satriani/Vai/Malmsteen.
