I need both, my tripod broke yesterday and I also wanna pick up a monopod. I don't want shit, I want something quality, but it doesn't have to be professional Are there any combo's that are a good quality since I'm buying them both anyways.

Looking to spend about $150 maybe more if its something really nice.

    Thanks :wavey:

Try checking ebay for Dynatran and/or amvona (amvona is the retailer, dynatran is the brand of the tri/monopods.

Good bang for the buck stuff. There's better out there, but for the price this stuff is quite good.

yep .. dynatran/amvona is solid stuff for a good price.

i just got in a ctf-94 tripod w/amvona ballhead for a little over $100 but it seems like it could sell for 3-4X that. very solid although the legs are kinda funny but shouldn't take too long to get used to them.

i got it used off ebay and the case that amvona throws in is a nice touch!

Wouldn't a tripod become a monopod when you bring the legs in?

how much do you use the tripod?

I have a manfrotto that works well for me. I wouldn't mind a new tripod, but for now this is good. I reccommend it, but I'm unsure if this has enough stability/functionality for you in the terms of the tripod.

I'd prefer a full tripod and real monopod in one. if possible.

Anything that's combined is gonna be garbage. Actually mostly anything that's not high-end Manfrotto or Gitzo doesn't really provide proper support.

SLIK is a bit lower than manfrotto and i think just as good/better in some areas.

I've never even heard of Arca Swiss, but judging by the ":mamoru:" I'm gonna guess it's a joke.
