any deals on macbook hard drives?

    i'm looking to switch out my macbook's 80gb hard drive with something a little faster and bigger
    7200rpm 120gb maybe
    i'm not sure what type of drive i need. i assume it's a 2.5" sata I, do they even make sata II notebook drives?
    anyone seen any deals? or should i wait till black friday?

    open up system profiler (Top Left Apple > About this Mac > More Info)
    then check either the ATA or the Serial-ATA on the left to see which one your harddrive is plugged into. Chances are it's Serial ATA in which case you'll want the ATA150 listed on newegg

    I just placed an order for a WD 250GB 5400rpm drive the other day. 80GB just isn't cutting it. And yes, it's an SATA 150 2.5" drive. The install should be interesting, but not the end of the world :hs:

    just to make sure. i can only fit a sata150 drive in my macbook. an ata-6 is the wrong thing, correct?

    ATA-6 is reguler ATA
