I found a pit that lets pretty much anything fly and I found a free 27" TV on Craigslist.

I'm planning on going to this pit tomorrow morning with two handguns and my Mosin. My girlfriend and camera will be going too... videos will be taken. :big grin:

Yeah... any danger in shooting a TV?

Each TV contains a small vial of tritium. If you hit it just right, the tritium will undergo fusion, blanketing the area with fast neutrons. Any life within 3 miles not behind thick concrete shielding will die in short order from radiation poisoning. :run:

If it's a cathode ray tube tv then it's possible the CRT could implode and ricochet glass shards everywhere. But if you've got a pit there shouldn't be a problem.

Man that would be awesome. :)

I just found out about this pit a few days ago.. I found a garage sale and picked up a food dehydrator for cheap then realized I should check Craigslist. Sure enough, I found a free TV. :big grin:

Never shot anything other than paper, so I'm pretty excited. I'm probably going to pick up a few gallons of water to see how they react to different calibers. :big grin:

Get styrofoam cups and fill them with water, then freeze them to make giant ice cubes. (You can take teh cubes out of the cups afterwards.)
Ice is cool as hell to shoot. Trust me and try it. :coold:

Tritium has an extremely short half-life, less than 10 years I believe. So chances are it has deteriorated past the point of usefulness, which doesn't matter anyway, because tritium is only a catalyst in a nuclear reaction, it doesn't do anything on its own. Plus, you need a hell of a lot more tritium for that than would be found in a tv.

Hows that for a big, nerdy shit on your parade? :o

    12.4 years, jackass. :slap:

Also. I was joking about tritium in TVs. You probably don't want to go with me on nukes. ;)

Didn't have any styrofoam cups, but I'm hoping Dixie cups will hold up fine...

Too small! Bigger! Like the size that gets passed out for beer at a kegger.
