Nah I've been working out just about every day over a 3-day split and I haven't hit any bumps in the road. Just make sure you're solid on your nutrition throughout the day and sleep at night and you should be good.

    Timber, in your opinion

does your heart need a break like other muscles? Like, a no-weights, no cardio day? or is sleep sufficient enough so you can rally the cardio 1-2 times a day?

It depends how intense you workout and how long you've been doing it. If you're a beginner you shouldn't lift more than 4 or 5 times a week, IMO.

    agreed for the most part.
Like other things...training frequency and volume takes time to adapt to...

fuck that. no way im training more than 4-5 days a week MAX. its usually 4.

if you lift heavy enough with maximum intensity and go HEAVY theres no way you will have enough recovery time to train 7 days a week.

    thats just stupid IMHO.

increased frequency apparently leads to increased hypertrophy.

What do you mean by 4-day split? like workout for 7-days, then rest for 4?

4 days to get all of his workout in

in the post above, he'd be doing one workout per day (chest/tri on one day, back/bi on another day, etc.)

I work out every other day, 4 times a week usually, occasionally give myself a 2 day break, so when i go back in my work outs explosive :), feels good man.

I get good results, i couldn't imagine going everyday.. whats the point?

I went through a two-week period working out every day once, then at the end of the second week, I started sleeping all the time (when I could) and my body felt like lead. Never did that again.

im guessing he's talking about the introductory, growth, mature and saturation/decline stages :mamoru:

but i have a sorta stupid question. Does it really matter what gets worked out i usually go into the gym starting monday pick what i want to workout then go from there for the rest of the week. So my question is should it matter if i do shoulders before chest/tris day and then back before bi's/forearm/abs/cardio day
