Have to renew with cingular tomorrow, and most of their phones really suck. However, they have treo 650's and this motorola. I've only heard good things about treo's, and love my roomies. However, this motorola looks damn nice. Anybody have one? Anybody care to comment on it?

I've done some searching around, apparently the phone was a flop at launch due to bad firmware, but the problems have been fixed and now cingular has re-launched it.

skip it. Outdated os and Moto chargers/build quality FTL.

Wait for the HTC 2125 - should be out in about a week or two. Might even have wifi :eek5:

eh, my mom went ahead and ordered it. Reviews i've seen other places have looked good, so I have high hopes. Thing already maxed out our budget, couldn't afford something that hasn't been released yet and has more features (and wifi) anyway.

Get ready for bugs galore (even though Cingular "fixed" them)

Everywhere else I have looked have said that all the problems are gone (except for the crappy camera quality). I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The phone is alright. You can fiddle around a lot of the problems manually by hacking through the system. But the phone is a really cool for having a Windows MS on a flip phone. I am sure you can find plenty to like.

I got it yesterday and am still trying to figure a few things out, but so far I like it. I don't think it has any kind of text input prediction (like T9), which really makes writing text messages a pain. Other than that, everything seems to work fine, and the pictures it takes are better then i was expecting. I just wish i could figure out how to make the damn alarm louder.

the mpx has one of the best predictive text input modes there is!

From your text message screen hold down the * key. Look at the top right of the screen by the signal indicator and you'll see ABC or ABC with a line under it. ABC w/ the line is the predictive mode. :bigthumb:

been using mine for about a year now and i would be lost w/o it. Great phone, lots of potential and its a flip.

i wouldnt buy any windows mobile OS phone's except for maybe the brand new 5.0 version on like more PDA like phone like a qtek 9000 for example. I'm very partial to the symbian series 60 OS on phones myself. I just picked up an nokia N90 and i love it.

KFW - what you think about the WIN OS spreading on phones? Think people will pick up on it once it is more stable or are providers going to stick with their own proprietary formats like verizon, in the end limiting microsoft's access...? Random boredom inquiry ...
