The store I work for bought out an estate the other day, and sifting through some stuff today I came upon a Goerz Hypergon-Doppel-Anastigmat 120mm lens... I can barely find any information about it online.. One or two who sold for 2500-4000$, but I was wondering if anyone might know anything else about it or can point me in the direction of someone who would.. Even the old camera folks who come in know nothing about it.

Stole that image from another website.. it sold for $3500.

It's probably what I'll end up doing with it.. However, there's been another one on eBay listed as a prototype.. and they're asking 10K. So, I'd really like to educate myself about it before I lose 5K. I get some und the table cash when this stuff sells well.

As far as I can tell.. It's circa 1910, made by Carl Paul Goerz Optics.. which later formed Carl Zeiss.

It's near perfect... glass is superb. the aperture switch (sic?) is smooth, the finish doesn't even have flaws... also has what appears to be the original felt caps. The guy who owned it was a collector, so he took excellent care of it.

    It's a beautiful instrument.. haha.

put it on ebay with a ridiculously high reserve (100k) so it doesnt sell...just to see how much it goes for... that way you can get an idea of how much people are willing to pay
