Any book or tutorial recommendations for beginning directX?

    ...in conjunction with C++? I'm wanting to get into the basics of DirectX programming, and I don't know the first thing. I've already taken a few college level C++ courses, however, so the programming fundamentals aren't my concern.

    I checked gamedev.net, maybe I was just looking in the wrong places but I didn't actually find any directX guides meant for beginners.

    andypike has some very good tutorials for directx, good luck, windows programming is a bitch to learn

    Yeah I've figured that out. I finished some C++ courses, thought that wasn't too hard, went for directx and was like :eek3:

    who is this andypike you speak of? OT user?
