I am really interested in learning to airbrush and paint in general. I am a student at the art institute of phoenix and can draw very good in pencil but have tried very few mediums. I just bought a piece of artwork by Michael Godard and it has made me want to learn to paint and airbrush to make my art more eyecatching. What i am wondering is where do i start? What do i need to get if im going to invest the money i want some decent equipment not top of the line but not bottom of the line either. N e one know a thing or two about painting or airbrushing gimme some suggestions. Thanks

you most likely want to go double action.

How much do you want to spend?

well ... i would buy a cheapy airbrush to start out.
and invest the money in a nice compressor and tank setup, youll need that no matter what for the future.. then when you get decent enough with a cheap airbursh, you'll know exactly what annoys you about the one you have, and will know exactly waht features to look for.
you can get a cheap airbrush for like $50 that will do fine.

  5. I also would like to learn about this. I see guys at the boardwalk whipping up some VERY AWESOME pictures in a matter of minutes!!!!!!!! I doubt I could ever be that fast or good at it but it looks interesting. :big grin:
