I'm extremely lazy when it comes to looking up specs and comparing electronics and prices, etc. I just would rather get something that i can load a bunch of songs too, work out and leave it in my gym bag. I don't want anything too expensive but also don't want the cheap shit. Something middle of the road, or what you guys use, etc.

    thanks

i had a 4th gen 20gb that worked for 4 years until it got drop kicked across the gym when it fell off the elliptical right onto my right foot as it was coming forward.

i'm using an 80gb classic now that i got off ebay for $200 new. i just don't justify buying a small flash memory player that i'll only use in the gym instead of a normal HD type that i can use anywhere and have my whole library on it to listen to what i want to listen, when i want to listen to it.

i have a black 8 gig nano that plays video. it was 200. get a rubber shock protector sleeve thingy and your good to go. and theres programs that let you shrink the vids so they dont take up your whole damn ipod.

no complaints with mine, and ive dropped it a few times. batt life is decent too. i usually only have to charge it maybe once a week, and i run 8-10 miles a week.

    im slow tho :o

nano. I occasionally drop weights on if when it's in my pocket and it still plays.

Don't get a big ipod because they use hard drives (like from a laptop) so they're not good for shaking about while you excersize.

    Get a nano or equivilant.

I just use my phone, its got 8gb of storage anyway and I dont need two devices.

2nd (the silver and other fruity colored ones). the black and white ones are 1st gen. Actually, the longer you wait, the more the price drops. back in early march they were going for ~$65
