Going to see the doctor for axiety today for the first time. What can I expect?
I've been just letting stress build up. Work and relationships. I just ended a relationship because being around her and having panic attacks were getting to be too much. I'm regretting it now but she's still really supportive about everything and maybe once I deal with this we can work on it.
Some of my symptoms include, panic (heavy breathing, fast heart beat), irregular sleep patterns, crying, and throwing up in the AM.
I'm willing to try anything to help this.
I bet I have high anxiety.. :-/
probably a lot of stress tests. and if you "fail" them they'll give you some breathing excercise instructions and the like, along with a low dosage prescription for some medication to take when it gets bad (panic attacks).
but i'm no dr and i don't have anxiety, so that's just a guess
take up boxing. helpes with my nieghbor's stress and anxiety
I really need to get back in the gym, that helped a lot when I was going..
hanging up a heavy bag at home helps a lot. that way you can just put the gloves on whenever and go at it for 5-10 mins
Really?.. Maybe I can hang one outside in the backyard.. Knowing me I would probably draw my bosses face on it.
They gave me 6 Ambien CR's to get my sleep patterns back on track and prescribed me to Lexapro for a few weeks.
haha, yeah it's a GREAT way to get some quick excercise, and certainly will drop your stress levels (at least for a while). throw on some headphones and listen to some gangster rap or metal/hardcore and you can kinda punch with the beat to get a good rhythm going. and i guarantee you that if you alternate left hooks/right hooks at about 1 per second as hard as you can for 1 minute you'll be sweatin like michael jackson at a cub scout jamboree
hope it helps
valium will help bigtime
yeah, take a bunch of drugs to put you on cloud 9 so you don't care about anxiety, then you can be on them forever cuz you won't know how to face life without them.
look into other options before taking medication.
