Remember Symantec being pissed about the lack of viruses for Macs and they offered a reward for a one to be made?

Oops, looks like I didn't remember it correctly. It was a company called DVforge that setup the contest in conjunction with Symantec stating malicious OSX scripts/coding was on the rise. DVforge offered a monetary reward but offered to double it for a Symantec employee who wrote the virus.

I think this worm idea is very funny.

It has affected 50 stupid people. You need to download and then you need to click on "INSTALL". If you are stupid enough to install something from a unknown person you deserve to get a worm.

So the first worm you have to download, ignore the "your downloading an application" warning, then run it type in your password and then it works. Sounds more like a regular program that does bad stuff to me. Not quite sure how this spreads itself and automatically infects other machines over the network. Oh wait, hype.

Now this one can only infect other macs within the bluetooth signal area. Wow, thats so efficient. This thing will take over the world in a matter of hours.

Bluetooth "worms" have been around like this for awhile, hell you can do this with cellphones.

    What is a worm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_worm

Interesting, but these are being grossly exagerated by the press.
