Well I got In a car accident about a month and a half ago, my teeth went all the way through my bottom lip and left a hell of a scar, I did a search and read that retin-a may help reduce the scar.. My question is, is it to soon to start using it or is it alright as long as its healed and closed up?

probably something you'd be better off asking a doctor about

If the doctor did a good job the scar should fade out with time. 2 Years ago I put my surfboard through my lip and it left a pretty nasty scar but it was gone in a little over a year. Just make sure you put sunscreen on it when you go out in the sun, the sun will make the scar much more apparent

you have to keep the scar out of the sun otherwise it won't pignate the same as the rest of your skin, making it more visible
