Rapper arrested for gun in carry-on bag

    Published: Dec. 24, 2007 at 9:19 AM

CLEVELAND, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Rapper Yung Joc was arrested at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, where officials said a loaded gun was found in his carry-on luggage.

Police said the rapper, real name Jasiel Robinson, was arrested Sunday at a security checkpoint, Cleveland television station WEWS reported Monday.

Besides local charges, Robinson, 24, could be charged federally under the Air Piracy act, authorities said.

The Grammy-nominated rapper from Georgia is known for his first single "It's Goin' Down."

How fucking stupid do you have to be to try to bring a gun in your carry on? :ugh:

He probably will, and he'll rehash NWA's "Fuck the Police" and call it his own.

The best part of it is that most of the rappers have some form of a Felony on their record which 'prevents' them from owning a firearm. As you can see with TI's recent involvement in firearms criminals always obey the law.

and all he had to do was put it in a locked container to go in the cargo hold of the plane and declare it at check in and he would have been fine.

"Police found a semiautomatic handgun and ammunition in Robinson's carry-on bag. He told police he did not know the weapon was there and was released Monday on $50,000 bond. Robinson's attorney, Stanley Jackson Jr., was apologetic and said Robinson was out of town on personal and family obligations. Jackson has said his client maintains his innocence." :ugh:

I'll laugh my ass off if he claims he didn't know he had a desert eagle on him if that's what gun it turns out to be :x:

Depends on the airport.. I was heldup forever in Los Angeles because they "saw something" in my camera bag. it ended up being one of those credit card shaped cheap swiss army kinda devices a dealer gave me for trying out a car. (with the stupid plastic toothpick and a nail file and tweezers in it)... I flew into LA no problem...when I went to leave they scanned my bag like 8 times and pulled everything out of it than said I had to check it in or throw it out so I told the dude merry X-Mas.
