Three Orange County Sheriff's Office weapons, including a machine gun with a noise depression device, were stolen out of an agency vehicle, according to a department news release.

The report said a fully automatic UMP-45 machine gun, an assault rifle and a Glock semiautomatic handgun were stolen during the burglary and are missing.

The vehicle was one of at least three cars broken into some time early Friday near Curry Ford Road and South Dean Road.

The Sheriff's Office is also conducting an internal review to determine whether the weapons were secured in accordance with agency policy, the release said.

Anyone with information concerning the theft is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.

would NOT surprise me if the dems hired delinquents to go out and do shit like that so they can build stats on gun violence and the need to "control"

this incident actually happened in my town and it kinda pissed me off how the local news channels were constantly emphasizing "fully automatic machinegun"
and "military assault rifle" and "glock 21 semiautomatic handgun" :noes:

they cant really use it against civvies though because they WERE the property of an orange country SWAT officer and not some joe blow redneck or gangster.

but nonetheless theyll feed the propoganda to people who believe anything the news tells them.

They used it correctly. The entering of the vehicle is burglary, the taking of the guns is larceny. They committed larceny while burglarizing the vehicle.

Use of the word "silencer" probably would have been TOO inflammatory and sensationalistic.

At least they could have used the politically correct term, "suppressor," to describe what was stolen.

Orlando -- Two teens were arrested Saturday on charges they stole a submachine gun and other weapons from an Orange County deputy sheriff's vehicle.

A witness to a drive-by shooting on Shenandoah Way managed to write down the tag number of the vehicle, which led Orlando police to Blackgum Court, said Orange County Deputy Carlos Padilla.

There, in talking to 18-year-old Kevin Rodriguez, they recovered the automatic machine gun. Police called for the Sheriff's Office, and deputies interviewed Rodriguez and said they later recovered two other weapons used by the SWAT team from the Riverwoods Circle home of Gaston Delgado, 15.

Rodriguez and Delgado each were charged with burglary of a vehicle and grand theft of firearms, both felonies.

Authorities had offered a reward for firearms, which were stolen late Thursday or early Friday from an unmarked Sheriff's Office car.

There was no evidence the SWAT guns were used in the earlier shooting, Padilla said. "We're glad we got these off the street and averted any tragedy," he said.

A policy prohibits leaving firearms in agency vehicles. The deputy, who has not been identified, is under investigation.
