Last one was in West Allis, this one was in West Milwaukee. Pretty much the same shitty little town. Both towns are like two blocks away from me. The Menards this happened at is literally down the street.

This is taken from another board, found the link through arfcom's Hometown board.

Fuck disorderly conduct and its use as a catch-all.

I accidentally posted this in the main first :o

Cops are pricks. The cop should have never taken him in to custody, and he should be suing for wrongful arrest.

I wonder what would happen if you were to meet those cops again - gun or no gun?

Is your recording even admissible as an evidence if the other party didn't know that they were being recorded?

If cops don't know the laws why are we expected to?

In Texas only one party needs to be aware the recording is happening.

Can't wait till I get out of law school to be able to put dumb (not all) cops in their place. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to the re-newed citizens' rights/states' rights movement.

Doesn't matter, it would most likely (99% of the time) be admitted anyway.

More like open carry failure. The guy effectively had his property stolen for half a year, has an arrest on his record, and is now known as a troublemaker by a bunch of cops and every DA in the area. And all he has to show for it are legal bills.

it's happened before here. this is the second time now in less than a year that this same outcome has happened. Gov. Doyle even has said that "if you choose to carry, open carry"

I am going to start doing this everywhere, but I guess now I have to have a voice recorder

or just do like some people I know :)o) and CCW anyways. Just don't break the law. I've heard from 3 different LEO's (one being a CLEO) in WI who have said as long as you're not breaking the law, might as well anyways. Only way you'll get caught is you're breaking the law or get in a bad car accident. and if you ever had to draw it, just make sure you tuck your shirt under the holster (MTAC FTW) after the duel is done

Well in Wisconsin if you're charged for carrying a conceal weapons you can fight it if you meet the following criteria:
    1) is your need to conceal a weapon greater than the states ineterest to enforce the illegality of concealed weapons?
2)do you need to conceal your weapon because other means arent available to you?

as far as the first question, you're fucked. in the Vegas case they ruled in his favor because he had been robbed 4 times already and this constituted his need to carry a weapon.

as far as the second question, you could say that you needed to conceal because people in WI keep getting arrested for legally open carrying.

or A.) don't get caught, or B.) it's a misdemeanor. more than likely as I said, if you're a law abiding citizen and have no reason to get into trouble other than getting pulled over for speeding (no need to get out of the car and be patted down), you're not going to get caught.

plus I've told YOU this before, you have to weigh the choices for your particular situation. I know a guy who carries EVERY DAY, EVERYWHERE, as he will NOT allow his family to be jeopardized in any sort of harmful situation. He's willing to take the risk of getting caught.
