Came home from work today to a bird that just wouldnt stop swooping down on me. So I found there was only one way to remedy this situation.

Made sure I knew where he landed and went upstairs to the gun room and got my 1077 ready.
Walked out on the balcony and took aim. Missed the first shot, so I took another and missed again. Sights are still adjusted from like 4 or 5 years ago (last time I used it)
He flew to another tree so I got the $20 pos rifle I picked up at cummins tools and put in a premium crosman pointed tip pellet and aimed a couple inches to the right with the irons (wont adjust any further to the left)
He was behind the leaves but I had a general idea of where he was so I guessed and took a shot.
Went right through his neck, killing him instantly and he fell off the tree.

Didnt know my neighbor was watching the entire time. He made fun of me for missing the first two times :o

My brother had to take out a bird the other day with the exact same rifle. There was about 50 of them in the tree next to our drive way back home and they all shat on his car. He made an example out of one of them.

I am going to have to do something similar soon.
The crows have moved back into the neighborhood for nesting. I am going to try and pick as many off as I can with my beeman 1040.

I hate those birds so much. Theyre so worthless. I remember one year my dad used my 1077 to pick off like a dozen in a day and there were more to take their place the next day!

if I started taking out birds that had swooped at my head more than once in the past week I would have killed a Barn Owl and a Red Shoulder Hawk.

the barn owl actually likes to sit on the gutter at the top of the stairs to my apartment at dusk at least when I leave the lights out. then it dive bombs me when I walk up the stairs. The Hawk both times was sitting on the corner of the room at the woman's place, needless to say I now walk the other direction when walking out the door.

I actually was able to shoot and kill a rabbit. Took 15 seconds or so to die, but was a pretty clean kill.
This pos $20 rifle has sure proved itself.

The average 0.177 pellet rifle is sufficient to kill small rabbits. Just doesn't stop them dead in their tracks...

If it's the same one I have, pretty sure it is, I think it's in the area of 900 fps.
