The past year or so that I've had XP, I've never got this straight unless luck was involved. I have 2 computers networked, sometimes 3, and I'm able to share the internet, but can't share files. I get this error:

I do have file sharing enabled, and everything else that I can think of. I'm going through an older hub. I have the server's IP set, and the client is on "Obtain Automatically"

:hs: trying to file-share through windows is like trying to pull your own teeth out. You usually pass out before anything good happens.

EDIT: I got so frustrated trying to do this that I just set up an Apache Web Server on my machine.

Nope, just the internet connection. I'm also running Zone Alarm on both my client and Server, but I allowed the networks to see each other :hs:

Apache is the software that reacts to Port 80 requests by sending the Web Page.

You can really pay me back if you can figure out how to do PW protection on certain pages.
