Just a few quick questions, sorry if they've been asked before, i looked back about 5 pages and couldnt find answers to anything i was looking for

    1. the 2.4 vs 2.0 ghz processor, how much of a difference do you guys notice? all of my friends only hae the 2.0 so i can't compare :wtc:
    2. i'm pretty sure i can upgrade the ram on my own, but my friend said something about making the warranty bad and needing special tools? anyone have experience?
3.saw in a thread that upgrading the hdd is fairly easy, can anyone confirm?

    thanks!!!

    1. Difference is Marginal. I have a 2.0 and a 2.4 - your RAM and HD are going to matter more.
    2. You can upgrade your own ram, and the owners manual shows you how to. Keep your stock ram and pop it in if you take it back to Apple for service. It's easy to do - you just need a tiny philips head.
    3. HD is a little harder than your RAM. You just need a small torx screwdriver or a tiny flat tip.

I'm upgrading my RAM and HD for the 3rd time tonight (right after the UPS man gets here)

My advice - buy a base model with the features you want (backlit keyboard, etc) then do all the other upgrades yourself.

Do the new ones not come with the Apple Remote? Both of mine did (but they are older models)

If you do the backlight keyboard, don't you have to get the 2.4?
