Nepalese Gahendra Martini-Henry in 577/450 :hsugh:

Commercial ammo is only $5 a round

These have been in yak fat for about 100 years. I look forward to cleaning it up and sticking it on a wall. I have seen some very nice examples after the wood has been cleaned and oiled and the metal has been boiled off and oiled.

I expected to this to be something really cool like an LT OSR or a GAP Crusader or an M16 or a Thompson.

Sorry, "really cool" to me generally connotes something devoid of plastic and rubber and out of service for the past 50 years. :mamoru:

I was just reading a Clive Cussler novel involving Martini-Henrys. I want to see restored rifle pictures. How's the bore? That'd be my main concern. The rest of the rifle was built as solid as a bank vault.

Which particular novel? I've read 'em all but the rifle does not ring a bell.
